As you may or may not have noticed yet, the art of Def P has landed in our shop. For those who don’t know him yet: Def P (Pascal Griffioen) is best known as the founder and frontman of Osdorp Posse, the pioneers of Dutch hip-hop. From the early 90s on, they released groundbreaking albums like Osdorp Stijl and Afslag Osdorp, bringing sharp wordplay, social themes, and pure Amsterdam spirit to the stage.
Pascal Griffioen—better known by his stage name Def P—emerged as a pivotal figure in Dutch hip-hop. Born in 1969 in Amsterdam, he co-founded Osdorp Posse in 1989, pioneering rap in the Dutch language. With sharp lyrical wit, clever wordplay, and socially-conscious themes, Def P and his group redefined the Nederhop movement. He wasn’t just the frontman and lyricist—he crafted their visual identity too, designing album art and graphics that complemented their bold sound. Beyond music, Def P is a gifted visual artist, writer, playwright, and broadcaster, making him a true multidisciplinary creative force

More than 20 years ago, one of the owners of WeTerra collaborated with Def P and Osdorp Posse—making albums together and even touring for a year (or two). Now, decades later, their paths cross again: this time with Def P’s art meeting WeTerra’s fabric. A true full-circle moment, and one we’re proud to share with you.
