Starting an animal sanctuary is a dream many people hold close, but taking the actual step is something entirely different. We are in that phase now—here in Europe, slowly but steadily searching for the place where this sanctuary can truly take root. It will still take a long time, no doubt about that. This journey will take time, patience, and a whole lot of heart. But at least we are here, on the right continent, taking the first real steps toward making it happen.

We are spending this time figuring out what’s realistic, what’s possible, and what the sanctuary will eventually need. Right now it’s more about laying the groundwork than picking out the perfect piece of land. I’m learning, planning, and getting ready for the moment when I can start visiting places and making real decisions.
